Fort Worth's Seminary South Center


Sears, Roebuck & Company formed Homart Development in 1959. The company was created to build new suburban shopping centers across the nation. Their first project was North Texas' SEMINARY SOUTH CENTER.

SEMINARY SOUTH CENTER was also Fort Worth's first mall-type shopping complex. It was officially dedicated in March 1962. The original anchors were Stripling's -one of Cowtown's hometown department stores- and Sears.
