Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet. The MALL HALL OF FAME is a vintage shopping mall scrapbook. Its focus is on shopping complexes built -in the USA- between 1946 and 1979. Don't forget to visit our four Shopping Mall Memory Lanes, which transport you through time to a mall in 1956, 1963, 1970 and 1977!

Shillito's anchored the west end of BEECHMONT MALL. It was the fourth unit in the Cincinnati-based chain.

Mabley & Carew, also based in Cincinnati, sat on the east end of the original shopping complex. This store was "Mabley's" sixth unit.

Carl and Robert Lindner had developed Greater Cincinnati's KENWOOD MALL. Like KENWOOD, their BEECHMONT MALL featured a "Rain Fountain" as the focal point of its Center Court.

The Lindner Brothers also owned United Dairy Farmers, which operated a group of ice cream shops in the Tri-State area. One of these, the United Dairy Farmers Ice Cream Corner, was among the fifty-four original BEECHMONT MALL stores.
