The McAlpin Company built Cincinnati's first suburban department store at WESTERN HILLS. McAlpin's opened in November 1954 and was expanded three times. It was in business at the PLAZA for over 43 years.
This stunning, ultra-modern Mabley & Carew fashion store was completed as a second phase of the shopping venue. "Mabley's" opened its doors in September 1955 and operated at WESTERN HILLS PLAZA for over 32 years.
