Atlanta's Perimeter Mall

In August 1971, the official symbol of PERIMETER MALL was a 30-foot-high, papier mache' ice cream cone. It stood in one of the court areas. In newspaper ads, an illustration was accompanied by the slogan "100 flavours in one." This referred to the 102 stores and services that were contained in the original complex.

A logo montage of charter PERIMETER tenants includes a graphic for Airport, which was one of the mall's most unique dress shops. Some of the store's novel features were a simulated aircraft control panel check-out and runway taxi light display. Customers entered and exited the boutique through a cloud-shaped opening.
