Our first FOUR SEASONS plan depicts the mall in 1975. It encompassed 900,000 leasable square feet and -when fully-leased- housed ninety-six stores and services. The North anchor was planned as a Meyer's Company store. However, in 1974, Meyer's Company (an Allied Stores division) merged with Jordan Marsh (which was also owned by Allied). The FOUR SEASONS store opened, in August 1974, as a Jordan Marsh.

Charlotte-based Belk anchored the east end of FOUR SEASONS MALL. The store was originally comprised of 2 levels and 170,000 square feet.

Richmond, Virginia's Thalhimers chain operated a 20,000 square foot boutique-type store in the mall between 1975 and 1992.
