Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet. The MALL HALL OF FAME is a vintage shopping mall scrapbook. Its focus is on shopping complexes built -in the USA- between 1946 and 1979. Don't forget to visit our four Shopping Mall Memory Lanes, which transport you through time to a mall in 1956, 1963, 1970 and 1977!

A new owner renamed the shopping hub in August 2004. It would be known, henceforth, as THE GALLERY AT MILITARY CIRCLE.

Our most recent site plan is dated 2004. This depicts renovations done between 1995 and the year 2000. The east and south anchors have been knocked down and replaced with new Sears and Cinemark structures. Likewise, the aforementioned Food Court has been installed in existing mall space.

A new mall manager re-changed the name of the shopping hub in August 2015. It became MILITARY CIRCLE MALL once more. The shopping hub had been in a downward spiral since 2009. An anchor exodus began in 2012, with Sears pulling up stakes. J.C. Penney closed down in 2014. Macy's -previously Hecht's, Thalhimers and J.B. Hunter- went dark in 2016.
