The mall was officially dedicated with a 2-day entertainment extravaganza, which was held in October 1957. Plazarama featured several local Los Angeles television personalities, recording stars and Jerry Colonna, well-known comedian, actor and musician. Free RC Cola was provided by the Mayfair Market.
