J.C. Penney gutted half of the original (1970s-vintage) Zayre store, and added around 67,000 square feet. The U-MALL Penney's, whose 1-level sales floor encompasses 85,900 square feet, includes a small office mezzanine. The store was dedicated in November 1992.

Sears constructed a completely new building at the shopping hub. The store, which is the only U-MALL tenant with a 2-level sales floor, spans 126,600 square feet. A grand opening was held in October 1998.

Kohl's moved into the mall's second Zayre store in April 2004. The 1-level building encompasses 86,600 square feet.
