The center's 1962 footprint. CHERRY HILL CENTER was implemented in two phases. The first, inaugurated in October 1961, appears in black. The Bamberger's Wing (in medium gray) was completed in September 1962. The mall now spanned over 1 million leasable square feet and contained nearly 100 stores and services under its roof. Its ample parking area could accommodate 6,000 autos.
