Detroit's Fairlane Town Center
Greater Detroit's 18th mall was named after Fairlane, a planned city built by the Ford Motor Company. This development was named after Fair Lane, the palatial home of Clara and Henry Ford. A grand opening was held for FAIRLANE TOWN CENTER in March 1976. Another Taubman property, LAKESIDE MALL {in Sterling Heights, Michigan} was dedicated on the same day.
