Camden's Moorestown Mall


The entry hall of the Grand Court at MOORESTOWN MALL. It featured twenty-eight fluted, parasol-shaped columns. These concrete pillars, designed by Architect John Graham, Junior, were nearly 30 feet in height.

The Grand Court Monkey Cage was home to six South American Gibbons. High-maintenance features such as this were extremely popular in shopping malls in the 1960s, but were removed in the 1970s.

The original Delaware Valley shopping center had duck ponds and flowering gardens running down the middle of its shopping concourse. The Oriental Garden seen here could be crossed by a foot bridge.
