An interior view of the West Wing. Back in the day, we would have been looking at a Montgomery Ward main entrance and nameplate. That store space became an Avanza supermarket in March 2002, which was shuttered in late 2006.

The CENTER began to decline in the late 1980s. By early 2006, it was virtually vacant. The shopping hub closed for good and was demolished in 2007-2008. A new WalMart SuperCenter opened on the site in January 2013.
