Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet. The MALL HALL OF FAME is a vintage shopping mall scrapbook. Its focus is on shopping complexes built -in the USA- between 1946 and 1979. Don't forget to visit our four Shopping Mall Memory Lanes, which transport you through time to a mall in 1956, 1963, 1970 and 1977!

May Company Colorado-May D & F anchored U-HILLS for almost thirty-five years. The store moved to the new enclosed mall at CHERRY CREEK CENTER in August 1990, leaving U-HILLS in a downward spiral. The virtually vacant facility had a destiny date with a wrecking ball in 1996.

U-HILLS MALL was replaced with a 35 million dollar power center. Buildings that were part of the 1951-1996 structure are surrounded in blue. Store space indicated in gray type (i.e., Linens 'n Things) was vacant at the time of this plan. The store space was eventually leased by Michaels.
