The first expansion of BUCKINGHAM SQUARE -completed in 1977- added the Buckingham II wing (in medium gray). Later on, the shopping concourse was extended to a newly-built Mervyn's department store. This was dedicated in October 1986. The mall now covered a tad over 900,000 leasable square feet and contained over 100 stores and services.


The final footprint of the retail facility. In this late 2002 layout, an abandoned Montgomery Ward has just been replaced by a new Target Greatland. Unfortunately, the mall was in a downward spiral that only a wrecking ball renovation would halt.
