A massive mall renovation and expansion was done between 1991 and 1995. The southern half of the structure was bulldozed and replaced by a swanky new South Promenade. This was anchored by a 199,200 square foot Nordstrom. The store, and its Nordstrom Cafe restaurant, opened in October 1994.
