Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet!

By the early 2000s, J.C. Penney has been added to the west end of the complex. This store was only in operation for 3 years. On the north end, the old Klein's-Korvettes has been gutted and rebuilt as a structure housing a Food Court, cinema and Nobody Beats The Wiz electronics store. BROADWAY MALL now spans 1,209,000 leasable square feet, with 110 stores.

A "then & then" juxtaposition. The first view is circa-1957. The second was taken at the same place (the Main Entrance) 50 years later.
