The mall was expanded westward in the late '60s, with a second anchor store added. A subsequent renovation was announced in March 1973. The aging complex would be redecorated in a "rustic, warm & quaint" motif. When construction dust settled in November 1974, a revitalized -and re-named- INDIAN HILL VILLAGE mall emerged.

In a circa-'74 layout, the West Wing addition is shown in light gray. A Zody's discount mart completed the basic footprint of the mall. As part of the 1974 renovation, the open-air shopping concourse was going to be enclosed and climate-controlled. This project would be delayed for several years.

Meanwhile, the mall had been renovated in 1982 (in light gray). It was fully-enclosed with new entrances created. A Food Court was also installed. By 1990, the shopping venue was being promoted as INDIAN HILL MARKETPLACE. An 8-screen multiplex had just opened. With these improvements, the complex spanned approximately 584,900 leasable square feet, with parking provisions for 3,000 autos.
