The original shopping hub was anchored by a 115,000 square Woolco discount mart. Its dedication predated the grand opening of the mall by 14 months.

A provisional site plan of the original mall. The single-level center, completed between late 1967 and early 1969, enveloped 420,000 leasable square feet and forty stores and services. This site plan is something of a guess as to how the original mallways were configured. I could find no circa-1969 floor plan on the internet.
