A contemporary view of the State Line Level mallway, or what was left of it after the 2000-2004 renovations. This section of the shopping hub was known as The Promenade back in the 1960s.

Dillard's pulled out of WARD PARKWAY CENTER in late 2009. The building was bulldozed in 2011. Ground was broken in 2016 for an outdoor Dining Pavilion. The facility was officially dedicated in October 2017. It housed restaurants such as Smitty's Garage Burgers & Beer, Charleston's, Ted's Cafe Escondido and MidiCi The Neopolitan Pizza.

In 2019, WARD PARKWAY has achieved its 60th year in business. The new Dining Pavilion, on the south end, is shown in light gray. The mall now encompasses approximately 625,000 leasable square feet and contains forty-six tenant spaces under its roof.
