As a keeping up with FREEHOLD MALL measure, MONMOUTH underwent a large-scale redo in 1995 and 1996. This time around, the (circa-1960) North Wing was reconfigured, with much being razed and rebuilt. A Food Court and megaplex cinema were added. A new entry was also built on the northwest corner.

The south anchor, originally an "A & S" (Abraham & Straus), had been rebranded as a Stern's by the time of this 1996 snapshot.
