In the early 1990s, the PUENTE property was in a downward spiral with a 50-percent vacancy rate. A new owner renovated, repositioned and revitalized the complex, which was 90-percent leased by 1998. In a year 2006 layout, we see that an abandoned Broadway has been replaced by a state-of-the-art megaplex (light gray). Likewise, a vacant J.C. Penney has been reconfigured as part of the aforementioned Power Center Wing of big box stores.
