A major renovation was performed at WASHINGTON SQUARE during 1993 and 1994. Nordstrom relocated to a new store. Its original spot became new retail spaces and the 10-bay Summit Food Court. By this time, an outparcel, strip center -SQUARE TOO- had also been built in the mall's periphery.
The primary anchor of WASHINGTON SQUARE, PDX's Meier & Frank. Here we see the store's western facade. The line down the wall, near the center, indicates the circa-1994 expansion of the original building.
