A November 1954 grand opening advert for the center's "new" (or second) Krambo supermarket. The original -circa-1951- store, which encompassed 18,000 square feet, was being replaced by the 40,000 square foot, ultra-modern model seen here.
Advert from The Milwaukee Journal

We are looking northward in this circa-1955 view. The famous "meet under the clock at Southgate" timepiece, a fixture of Spic & Span Dry Cleaners, is in the foreground...followed by Grants and Kresge's. Off in the distance is a newly-completed Gimbels anchor store.
