The 100 OAKS MALL moniker was retained for the new-style hybrid power center / outlet mall. Its Lower Level housed seven big box stores. The Upper Level featured J.C. Penney and Saks Off Fifth outlet stores.

The Regal Cinemas Hollywood 27 opened for business in January 1998. The movie megaplex was built south of the mall, on a pad adjacent to where the old Martin Theatre once stood.

A circa-2002 aerial of 100 OAKS MALL shows the proximity of the shopping hub to the Interstate 65 expressway on the left. The gigantic Hollywood 27 theater may be seen at the bottom of the image.
