In the early 1990s, the northwest corner of the mall was expanded to accommodate a new Phar-Mor Drug. In the following year, Ohio's Glimcher Realty Trust acquired the shopping center. In May 1995, a massive renovation of the property was announced. This 25 million dollar project added a 10-bay Food Court, 12-screen cinema and Proffitt's anchor store. These were completed between 1996 and 1998.
In a circa-2014 layout, we see that several major stores have either closed or been rebranded. Phar-Mor morphed into Steve & Barry's University Sportswear (2006) and then Dunham's Sports (2009). Proffitt's was "Belked" in 2006. In the mall's northeastern periphery, Borders Books and Old Navy stores opened in a freestanding strip center. Borders went dark in 2011 and was followed by hhgregg, which made its debut in 2012.
