ALA MOANA in 1966. The Diamond Head Wing (in gray) had just been completed. It consists of 3 floors; the First (Street), Second (Mall) and Third (Upper) Levels. The complex now encompassed 1.3 million square feet, making it one of the largest retail centers in the fifty states.

A mid-1960s view of the open court area between the circa-1959 'Ewa Wing and new Diamond Head Wing. La Ronde, atop the Ala Moana Building, had opened in November 1961. It was the world's first revolving restaurant.
