The COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA mall remained the same -structure-wise- through the 1980s and '90s. A second major renovation was done in the early 2000s. This trademark was commissioned as part of the revitalization.

During the 2002-2003 remodeling, the mall lying between the two anchor stores was reconfigured. Its two east store blocks, and an abandoned Penney's Auto Center, were knocked down. The exterior was redone in a post-modern style, featuring bright, high-contrast colors. New stores included the Bed, Bath & Beyond seen here.
