Among the twenty-six charter tenants at ANSLEY was a Morrison's Cafeteria. The smorgasbord-type restaurant was decorated in "Ancient Roman Elegance."

In our first ANSLEY site plan, we see the open-air mall as it was situated 2 years after its grand opening. It encompassed approximately 201,400 leasable square feet, with all stores situated on a single level. The parking area had room for 900 autos.

We created a montage of early ANSLEY MALL tenants. Colonial Stores was one of two supermarkets operating in the original mall. Crops & B was a combo restaurant, cafeteria-in-the-round, sandwich shop and nightclub. The Mini-Cinema and Film Forum were names of an art house motion picture venue. Regalos was a gift and decorative accessory emporium.

By 1980, the Colonial Stores grocery at ANSLEY MALL had been rebranded as a Big Star. The Mini-Cinema had morphed into the Film Forum. Kroger was still a tenant, but would relocate into a new store, adjacent to the mall, in the fall of 1982.
