PALM BEACH MALL was given a second major refurbishment between the years 1998 and 2000. In this circa-2002 plan, we might notice a new Dillard's -that stands at the center of the center- or a recently-enlarged Sears. Sadly enough, these improvements failed to sustain the shopping hub. It was in a downward spiral by 2003.

After languishing for several years, PALM BEACH MALL was demolished in early 2013. Construction immediately got underway on a new, open-air power center, which would be known as PALM BEACH OUTLETS.
