THE MAINE MALL. After over 50 years in business, the complex has retained its status as largest shopping mall in Maine. Even after a late 1990s expansion, BANGOR MALL was still over 400,000 square feet smaller.

As one might surmise, several mall modifications have been done by 2014. The first level of the old Porteous now houses Forever XXI and H & M stores. Sports Authority still inhabits the building's Upper Level. The primary Filene's, vacant for 7 years, has been retenanted by The Bon Ton, whose grand opening took place in September 2013.
