An early '70s aerial shows the new East Mall at DADELAND. It was comprised of a fully-enclosed shopping concourse, which extended from the existing Burdine's to a newly-built Penneys.

Another aerial view of the DADELAND complex looks toward the east. As construction on the new East Mall proceeded, the existing structure -now referred to as the West Mall- was also enclosed and air-conditioned.
