Before there was SOUTHLAND, there was PALMA CEIA CENTER. This small strip complex was built on the future shopping center site, west of where the mall would eventually sit.

One of the charter PALMA CEIA tenants was the World's Fare International-type Restaurant. Dedicated in April 1961, it featured nine vendors situated around a common dining area.
