Australia's Westfield acquired TOPANGA PLAZA in two stages between November 1993 and November 1999. They renamed the complex WESTFIELD SHOPPINGTOWN TOPANGA PLAZA in November 1998, which was shortened to WESTFIELD TOPANGA in June 2005. By this time, a massive mall rebuild was underway. The finished product is shown in images above and below.

At the time, the WESTFIELD TOPANGA refurbishment was the largest mall renovation ever undertaken by the center's Australian proprietor.
