CENTRAL CITY MALL took the place of six city blocks. The urban renewal-type shopping hub encompassed approximately 1 million leasable square feet. In addition to its three anchors and sixty-two inline stores, it included a multilevel parking garage and surface lots with a total capacity of 3,600 autos.

Court areas at CENTRAL CITY MALL were surrounded by "graceful arches," which were fitted with wrought iron grillwork. Mallway floors were done in red quarry tile.
