The shopping complex was given an interior facelift in 1977-'78. It received a more extensive indoor-outdoor makeover between 1987 and '89. As part of this project, it was renamed BROADWAY MALL.

The Main Entrance, on the east side of the mall,  was rebuilt during the late '80s renovation.
