For its first 6 months in business, RIMROCK MALL had only one operational anchor department store. Butte-based Hennessy's, with 110,000 square feet, was joined by Montgomery Ward, and a junior-anchor-sized Herberger's, in March 1976.

In 1976, RIMROCK MALL encompassed approximately 518,000 leasable square feet, with a tenant list of forty-nine stores and services. 3,300 free parking spaces surrounded the mall.
