New York City's Mid-Island Shopping Plaza


MID-ISLAND SHOPPING PLAZA was the third retail mall opened on Long Island during the year 1956.

The complex was built over a network of subterranean service tunnels. Here we see the east end of the mall and its east tunnel portal.
