In January 2017, work began on a second phase demalling. This reconfigured the south end of the complex. It was opened to the elements with a public plaza, known as "The Green." This fronted on L.L. Bean, The Apple Store, a relocated bookstore and Bartaco bistro.

By May 2018, the remaining section of enclosed concourse has been rebuilt as an open-air structure. The mall...make that lifestyle center...now covers approximately 625,000 leasable square feet. As a matter of note, the Sundance Cinema 608 was rebranded by AMC in mid-2017. The Madison 6 would close for good in late 2022.
