Welcome to the largest mall and retail history site on the internet. The MALL HALL OF FAME is a vintage shopping mall scrapbook. Its focus is on shopping complexes built -in the USA- between 1946 and 1979. Don't forget to visit our four Shopping Mall Memory Lanes, which transport you through time to a mall in 1956, 1963, 1970 and 1977!

A view of Center Court and The Food Court. The culinary complex was installed during the 1990 refurbishment.

The mall's Macy's, in better days. The store was damaged by Hurricane Ike in September 2008 and never re-opened. Its sister store, in ALMEDA MALL, was also damaged by the storm. It was renovated and resumed business in September 2009.

The ALMEDA MALL and NORTHWEST MALL Macy's began their commercial lives as the aforementioned Foley's stores. Here we see the exterior of the abandoned Foley's-Macy's at NORTHWEST MALL.
