Montgomery Ward anchored the Bayou City's fourth shopping mall. The freestanding store was dedicated in October 1960. A fully-enclosed mall, and Joske's anchor store, were eventually added to its south side.
San Antone's Joske's anchored the south end of the SHOPPING CITY with a 2-level, 163,000 square foot store. It welcomed first shoppers in February 1964.
