The mall's TigerDirect.com computer superstore was an early 21st century addition. The store started in a small part of the old J.B. Hunter-Jefferson Ward, on the south end of the complex, and eventually expanded into a larger footprint within that building.

A circa-2010 plan of MALL OF THE AMERICAS, which shows modifications done between 1992 and 2002. An 8-screen multiplex has been expanded with six additional auditoriums and a freestanding Winn-Dixie replaced by a freestanding Home Depot. At this time, the shopping hub encompasses approximately 694,900 leasable square feet.
