The Sears that anchored Grand Forks, North Dakota's SOUTH FORKS PLAZA was a high-end Mid-Century Modern structure. The 50,000 square foot store began business in October 1964.
Virginia Beach's first shopping mall formally opened in March 1966. The 157,700 square foot Sears, at PEMBROKE MALL, made its debut in July of the same year.
