Glendale's Valley West Mall
A circa-1972 rendering of the up-and-coming VALLEY WEST MALL. When completed in the fall of 1973, the fully-air-conditioned complex would be anchored by California-based Boston Stores (on the left) and Montgomery Ward (on the far right).

The "Mod Mod Mod Mod" Wards consisted of a single level and 131,000 square feet. It became the mall's first operational store, in July 1973.
