The Westminster 6 Theatres, an in-mall movie house, opened -as part of the original mall- in August 1977. By the early 1980s, the freestanding Westminster 5 Theatres was also in operation.

The shopping hub grew by leaps and bounds between 1984 and 1987. There were now five anchors, over one million leasable square feet, and 150 stores and services. WESTMINSTER MALL would be one of the preeminent shopping malls in Greater Denver for several years.


The mall's south anchor, J.C. Penney, joined the complex in March 1987.
