The final expansion of the complex, completed in October 1993, added Montgomery Ward as a sixth anchor. WESTMINSTER MALL now housed nearly 1.4 million leasable square feet and contained 175 stores and services under its roof.

To stave off competition from a new lifestyle center, WESTMINSTEWR MALL was given a 10 million dollar rehab at the turn of the century. Here, we see a renovated Center Court, with its famed hot air balloons (a fixture of the circa-'77 complex). In the end, the much-ballyhooed remodeling was not able to halt the mall's downward spiral.

A substantially dead anchor store, which had opened -in 1986- as a May D & F. It received a Houston-based Foley's nameplate in 1993 and was christened as a Macy's in 2006. That store shut down in early 2009.

A parting view of WESTMINSTER MALL, which bit the proverbial dust between July and October 2011. Here we see a mall entrance, which shows the results of the center's turn of the century renovation.
