RICHLAND PLAZA opened, in North Richland Hills, in August of 1962. The fourth mall-type complex in the Metroplex, it was anchored by J.C. Penney and Montgomery Ward and featured an S.S. Kresge dime store and Buddies supermarket. The PLAZA was eventually done in by NORTH EAST MALL. After languishing in various stages of abandonment, RICHLAND PLAZA was converted to an office complex in 1999.
