Rochester-based E.W. Edwards & Son built the SHOPPINGTOWN center's second anchor department store. Situated in the rear parking area, it opened for business in the fall of 1968.
After the Edwards chain crashed and burned, the SHOPPINGTOWN unit was acquired and renovated by J.C. Penney. They opened in January 1975.
