Mervyn's store bid farewell to SOUTHCENTER in late 2006. The bulk of the first floor re-opened, as the aforementioned Seafood City, in 2010. The second floor was eventually leased as a Round 1 Bowling & Amusement Center. It opened for business in 2015.

On July 31, 2018, WESTFIELD SOUTHCENTER celebrated its 50th birthday. A 50-dollar-per-person Champagne Celebration was held, which included a beer, wine & champagne bar, hors d'oeuvres and live music. All proceeds were donated to a local charity.
