Victor Gruen's design for RANDHURST CENTER was one of the most unique shopping mall plans ever envisaged. A triangle had anchor stores at three points. The parking area of the fully-enclosed complex was divided into seven "fruit-designated" lots. At Gruen's SOUTHDALE CENTER, in Minnesota, fifteen parking lots were named after animals.
