A late 2006 physical layout. At the time, the 1,080,000 square foot retail facility housed one hundred and twenty-seven stores and services. Dick's, Best Buy and Borders Books stores have been installed in the Lord & Taylor space, which was vacated in early 2004. Filene's, the south anchor, has just been "Macy-ated".
In the early Twenty-tens, the mall in Meriden had two major vacancies. Borders Books had gone dark -along with the chain- in late 2011. The space was filled by T.J. Maxx in April 2014. J.C. Penney, a charter anchor, shuttered their store in May. This space would sit vacant until October 2015, when Pennsylvania's Boscov's opened their first New England location.
